The CompTIA, A+ and Network + Certifications are standards of competency for IT professionals. This program is designed for someone who wants to troubleshoot, maintain and repair personal computers in any type of environment with a detailed coverage of networking. PC operation, structure, basic and advanced troubleshooting skills, service repair procedures, and PC maintenance are covered. The student will also learn how to network computers and troubleshoot a network environment. Additionally, the A+ and Network Certified Technician program offer training in PC configuration, upgrading hardware, installation of software and hardware/software troubleshooting. The student will get to examine each component of a PC while they go through a step-by-step process of assembling and customizing a personal computer. The A+ Certified and Network + Certified Technician program is typically the starting point for someone getting into the computer support industry. Areas of employment that this program target is: Technical Support, PC repair and network administrator. The student will be thoroughly prepared to test for the A+ and Network + Certifications (220-301, 220-302 and N10-003). The A+ and Network + Certifications validate technical competency in computer technology and networking administration and support. Those holding A+ and Network + Certification demonstrate critical knowledge of media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation and network support.

Program Prerequisites: High School or GED, comprehension of the Windows operating environment is a benefit but not a requirement to complete this course.
