 CAD Electrical


This course is intended to bring the beginners drafter, designer, engineer or new user to a useful level of familiarity. It is a suitable course of all design disciplines and for individuals who edit, view or work with others that create design content. Topics covered include launching a CAD program, various CAD menus, utilizing operator interfaces, familiarity with screen layouts, drawing procedures, universal function keys, 2D drawing commands, file management commands, setting drawing precision, tradional input systems, editing commands and features, setting and using layers, penetrating drawing information, beginning to block creation, hatching, opening to dimensioning techniques, drawing pattern creation, object snaps, display management commands for object presentation, fundamental editing techniques, text footnote creation and usage, fundamental platting techniques in model space and with paper space layouts, and page and plot style tables.  Additional topics covered in this CAD electrical program includes; Toolbars, Automatic Hidden Lines, Streamlined Design Environment, Workspaces, Power Dimensions, Dimension Stretch, Power Snaps, Associative Detailing Tools, Design Navigation.
