Information Regarding the Federal Pell Grant Process 2010-2011 Academic Year

To apply for a Federal Pell Grant, students must obtain or complete the following:
1. Apply for a Federal PIN (http://www.pin.edu/)
2. Complete the 2010-2011 FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov)
3. Complete Loan Entrance Counseling (http://www.studentloans.gov/)

Apply for a Federal PIN
|

Before you begin the process, you will need your US Department of Education's Federal PIN number. If you have already completed a FAFSA and signed you used your Federal PIN to electronically sign your FAFSA, you will need the same Federal PIN to complete loan entrance counseling and sign your Federal Direct Loan Master Promissory Note. If you do not have a PIN or you have forgotten your PIN, visit http://www.pin.ed.gov to obtain your PIN. You must provide a valid email address and receive your PIN within three days. If no email address is provided, your PIN will be mailed to the home address you indicated within seven (7) business days. If you already have your pin, please ensure that you have fulfilled the other requirements for applying for a Federal Direct Loan.

Students apply for financial assistance by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The application process is an online process. Visit http://www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the FAFSA on the Web (FOTW).
